THINK Contraception has 5 pairs of tickets which will be given away on iRadio over the course of this week.  That’s 10 lucky souls who will get to join Johnny and the rest of the festival go’ers for a weekend of craic and fun.

THINK Contraception caught up with Johnny to see just how busy he’s been this summer.

“What a summer for me and the THINK Contraception team! 9 festivals down 1 to go.

 I am heading down to the fields of Stradbally with my #thinkcontraception crew to spread the word “Johnny’s got you Covered” and give out free condoms, yes you heard me free condoms.

“If you are lucky enough to already have a ticket, keep an eye out for me and the crew and get your photo taken to be in with a chance of winning a year’s supply of condoms, and while you’re there you can tell me and the crew some of your own funny awkward experiences. Don’t forget to pick up your own protection pack too, sure nothing better than a bit of protection at a festival.

“I was having a chat with the experts in the HSE Sexual Health & Crisis Pregnancy Programme and some of the main reasons for not using contraception is not being prepared or taking a chance. This is where I come in, you know you might need your wellies, you might need your rain jacket but don’t forget you might also need condoms!! So be prepared and make sure you’re covered. My motto festivalers is ‘it may not happen every time but when it does- Johnny’s got you covered.

“I have been saving my voice all week, only talking when needs be as my message to the sexually active young adults needs to be heard, ‘condoms protect you from unplanned pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).  So, be prepared and make sure you use a condom every time you have sex.”
